Privacy Policy

SnapPray is built on a simple principle: your prayers are between you and God. We collect the minimum data necessary to run the app and never sell, share, or monetize your personal information.
What We Collect
SnapPray collects very little data. Here is exactly what happens:
- Photos: When you use Snap to Pray, your photo is sent to the Anthropic Claude API to generate a prayer description. The photo is processed in real time and is not stored on our servers after the request is complete.
- Prayer text: Prayers you generate are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. They are never uploaded to SnapPray servers.
- Prayer audio: When you use the Listen feature, your prayer text is sent to ElevenLabs to generate audio. This is governed by ElevenLabs' own privacy policy.
- No account required: SnapPray does not require you to create an account, provide your email address, or share any personal information.
What We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any contact information
- We do not track your location
- We do not run ads or share data with advertisers
- We do not sell your data to any third party
- We do not store your prayers on our servers
- We do not use analytics that identify you personally
Third-Party Services
SnapPray uses two external AI services to generate prayers and audio:
- Anthropic Claude API: Used to generate personalized prayers and describe photos. Data sent to Anthropic is governed by Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
- ElevenLabs: Used to generate prayer audio in the Listen feature. Data sent to ElevenLabs is governed by ElevenLabs' privacy policy at elevenlabs.io/privacy.
Both services receive only the minimum data necessary to perform their function — prayer text or photo content — and do not receive any identifying personal information.
Data Storage
All your prayers, notes, and app data are stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share a prayer. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is deleted with it.
Children's Privacy
SnapPray is rated 4+ on the App Store and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for all ages.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
